Here is stage one, trying to figure out where to mount the strainer and the seacock.

As you can see the strainer is huge, and able to trap a lot of seaweed. The top lifts off so you can easily clean out the screen.

The seacock has to be as close ot the center of the boat as possible to make sure there is a supply of water no matter how the boat is heeled over.

I decided to mount all the items next to the water heater. The wash down pump can be seen at the top left. You can see the mark on the hull where the hole is to be cut. Yikes, Don't want to screw that up !
